Re: Anti-Bullying Week
I have my odd socks donned! (One is a giraffe and the other is a fox if anyone is curious)
One thing I am proud of myself for is persevering through my family not being the most understanding of certain things throughout my life, and that it is slowly getting better even if it is not perfect. If you told Leyla of every 2 years ago she was living her current life, she would have said it was impossible!

Re: October 2025 achievements!
@kaii
Not many achievements for October sadly
● won an award
●raised money for yet another charity
●got custody of a child who is now my wonderful son.
That is literally it, they are not the best.

Talk.
So I would go on a rant about stuff but respectfully I talk loads on here and keep wasting everyone's time when they come to read them.
I don't fully feel comfortable sharing much about my life anymore. Or at least my life now.

Anti-Bullying Week
Hey Community,
We’re excited to let you know that Anti-Bullying Week is taking place from Monday 10th November - Friday 14th November, and this year’s theme is “Power for Good”.
This theme is all about recognising that each of us have the ability to take positive action and to make a real difference when it comes to bullying.
Here at The Mix, we believe that young people hold incredible power - your voice, your kindness, and the support you give to others all play a huge part in creating safer and kinder spaces. Whether it’s standing up for someone who’s being bullied, reaching out to a friend who’s hurting, or simply choosing kindness every day, these things matter more than you know.
Odd Socks Day – Monday 10th November
To kick off Anti-Bullying Week, we’re celebrating Odd Socks Day! We want to encourage you to wear a pair of odd socks (the whackier the better!), to celebrate what makes each of us unique. If you feel comfortable, feel free to post a picture of your socks down below (you don’t have to be wearing them!), or simply let us know what designs you’ve chosen.
And we’d love to hear from you - What’s one thing about yourself that you’re proud of?
Celebrating our differences is a huge part of Power for Good, because being different is powerful, being unique is powerful, and being kind is powerful.
A few things to think about during Anti-Bullying Week:
Together, we can use our Power For Good to end bullying for good. Let’s make this week count!

A few things to think about during Anti-Bullying Week:
- Speak out when you see bullying, whether it’s face-to-face or online. Silence lets it grow.
- Support someone who needs it, even just listening or offering them a space to talk makes a big difference.
- Choose kindness everyday, not just Anti-Bullying Week.
- Share your odd socks, your story, and your voice. And show the world how you use your own Power for Good.

Re: October 2025 achievements!
These achievement threads are such a beautiful thing @kaii, it's so nice to see what everyone is proud of doing.
I don't have many achievements from last month as things were really difficult, but I was able to get through the month, which I consider an achievement, as well as joining this community. I haven't been here for very long but being able to support other people has been so healing and has benefited my mental health a lot. I've also been better this past month at taking care of myself and being kind to myself, instead of trying to push through the pain.
Hopefully I'll have a little more to share next month, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's achievements

Rant about services
I am currently annoyed but it doesn't matter.
I have been through a lot. I also recognise I would like someone who I can talk to, and someone I would feel comfortable enough to talk to. I can't afford to go private and NHS services are awful.
I want a fresh start to life, it isn’t possible but I wish it was. I work incredibly hard everyday just for people to judge.

I don’t think therapy can help me
There’s some things which therapy has helped me with, such as dealing with intrusive thoughts, panic attacks etc. But there’s an issue which has stuck with me since childhood, which I don’t think will ever go away.
I always feel depressed about not being able to find love due to my looks. And there’s countless of evidence that proofs that men find me undesirable. Since I was a child, I’ve had boys and men joke about me being undesirable, with zero romantic experiences. Til this day, I’m still lonely, and literally yesterday, I encountered the same group of men who would mock me for not being attractive.
I don’t think my therapist knows what to do, because again, there’s a lot of evidence which proves my point.
I’m thinking about quitting therapy and just going on with my life, even if I have to be depressed and lonely for the rest of my life.
